### Types of Proofs:
1. Digital PDF Proof (Soft Proof): A digital PDF showing layout, dieline alignment, text, and panel continuity. Cannot accurately evaluate print colors because computer monitors display in RGB light.
2. Calibrated Contract Proof (GMG Proof): A physical color-accurate print produced on certified inkjet proofers matching ISO 12647 standards. Simulates exact CMYK and Pantone ink reproduction on the specified paperboard.
3. Wet Press Proof (On-Machine Test): The packaging is printed directly on the actual commercial press using real plates and production board. The ultimate color test, but incurs machine setup costs.
### What to Check on a Proof:
- Typos, barcodes, ingredient lists, and legal compliance text.
- Bleed margins at cut lines and panel orientations.
